ANN KYUNGAH SHINN, MD, MPH
- Bio: Ann K. Shinn, MD, MPH is a research fellow in the Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder Program at McLean Hospital. She graduated from Columbia University with a bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and Behavior. She received a Master of Public Health degree in epidemiology from the UCLA School of Public Health, and a medical degree from the UC San Francisco School of Medicine. In June 2009, she completed her residency at the MGH/McLean Adult Psychiatry Residency Training Program, where she served as the Chief Resident of the McLean Hospital Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder inpatient unit from 2008-2009. Her primary research interest is in understanding the neurobiology of phenomenological dimensions of psychosis. With the mentorship of Dost Öngür, MD, PhD at McLean Hospital, she is conducting a multimodal magnetic resonance imaging study of auditory hallucinations in psychotic patients.
