- Bio: Donald A. Davidoff, PhD is Psychologist-in-Charge of the Geriatric Neuropsychiatry Unit at McLean Hospital, Director of the Neuropsychology and Psychodiagnostic Testing Center, and director of the Neuropsychology Fellowship Program at the McLean Hospital, Harvard Medical School. His current responsibilities include the management of unit staff, clinical care, training, and the provision of psychological services. Dr. Davidoff is also an instructor in psychology, Harvard Medical School; Psychologist, McLean Hospital; assistant clinical professor, Department of Psychiatry, Boston University School of Medicine. He is a Senior Consultant with the Levinson Institute, specializing in executive coaching and assessment. He has served as chairman of the Commissioner's Task Force on Alzheimer's Disease and on the State House Task Force on Elder Mental Health. He was a board member and treasurer of the Alzheimer's Association of Massachusetts for 12 years. His private practice includes both clinical and forensic work (where his interests in the relationship between the brain and behavior overlaps with the law). In addition, he has published papers in academic journals and lectured at a number of hospitals and universities. Current research interests include the early diagnosis and management of dementia, motivational and affective aspects of memory and diagnosis and etiology and treatment of nonverbal learning disabilities. He has also lectured on decorative arts at various museums and the Rhode Island School of Design and has curated an exhibition of decorative arts. He received a BE from the City College of New York, an SM from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the City University of New York. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Professional Disability Consultants and a member of various professional organizations, including the International Neuropsychological Society, the International Society for the Psychoanalytic Study of Organizations, the American Psychological Association, and the American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry. He is also the co-author (under the pseudonym G.H. Ephron) of five recently published mystery novels, Amnesia, Addiction, Delusion, Obsessed, and Guilt, a series about the forensic neuropsychologist, Dr. Peter Zak.
