- Bio: Dr. Dawn Sugarman is a clinical psychologist in the Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse. She is also the Associate Program Director of the Women's Mental Health Initiative at McLean Hospital, and the Communications Editor for the Harvard Review of Psychiatry. Dr. Sugarman's research and clinical work focuses on the treatment of addictive behaviors. She is particularly interested in: (1) the mechanisms that influence substance abuse treatment outcomes, (2) the use of technology in effective treatment dissemination, and (3) the application of brief interventions for substance abuse in traditional medical settings (e.g. primary care clinics).
