- Bio: Ms. Hobbs came to McLean Hospital for her second-year internship in 1984 and was hired as a staff social worker at the Hall Mercer Center for Children and Adolescents upon completing graduate school.
She has held various clinical and administrative leadership positions at McLean Hospital on both the inpatient units and the community residence programs, giving her experience with a wide variety of disorders and different forms of treatment. Ms. Hobbs left McLean in 1997 to become Director of Clinical Services at Germaine Lawrence, Inc., a behaviorally focused residential treatment program for adolescent girls. Her private practice has specialized in the treatment of anxiety and depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and borderline personality disorder in both adolescents and adult clients. Ms. Hobbs was first introduced to Dialectical Behavior Therapy in 1995 while working at the McLean Women's Treatment Program. She has subsequently done extensive DBT training and returned to McLean in 2006 as a member of McLean's adolescent DBT Consultation Team.
In her new role as Director of Clinical Services in the Intensive Adolescent DBT Residence, Ms. Hobbs will be responsible for the delivery and oversight of clinical services including individual, group, and family treatment using a comprehensive DBT approach.
