- Clinical Interests: Dr. Pearson specializes in the area of women's health and psychiatry, and her publications include Women's Health and Psychiatry, Lippincott, Williams and Wilkins, 2002. Some areas of expertise include PMS, medication exposure during pregnancy and breastfeeding, postpartum depression, and menopause. She has participated in various research trials including an ongoing longitudinal study of mood and anxiety disorders during pregnancy and the peurperum, and the use of Wellbutrin in treating postpartum depression. Her most recent research, pending publication, involves perinatal outcome after antidepressant exposure during pregnancy. Dr. Pearson has been invited to give multiple lectures at academic centers and in the community on issues related to psychiatric disorders associated with female reproductive function.
- Bio: Kimberly Pearson, M.D. is an Instructor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, received her M.D. from Northwestern University Medical School, and completed her residency in psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital. Dr. Pearson also completed a fellowship at the Perinatal and Reproductive Psychiatry Clinical Research Program at MGH where she is currently a staff psychiatrist.
