Dr. Monika Kolodziej is a clinical psychologist with research experience in assessment and treatment of substance-related disorders. Since 1998, she has been engaged in clinical research studies at the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Program at McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School where currently she is a Research Associate in Psychology. In 2005, Dr. Kolodziej assumed a clinical position at AdCare Hospital, a specialized facility for inpatient and outpatient treatment of substance-related disorders in Worcester, MA. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Kolodziej serves as AdCare’s director of research and program evaluation. In this capacity she is able to draw from her experiences at McLean Hospital to develop a comprehensive, clinically-oriented research program at a treatment setting. In 2008, Dr. Kolodziej joined the University of Massachusetts Medical School as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry. As both an active researcher and a clinician, Dr. Kolodziej participates in developing the Central Massachusetts Addiction Consortium, which aims to create clinically-focused research collaborations among regional facilities that provide services to persons with substance-related disorders.
