- Degree(s): Yvonne Sparling, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist who received her doctorate from the University of Florida. Dr. Sparling trained at the University of Florida Medical Center in the Clinical Psychology Department and specialized in the field of neuropsychology. She received her internship training at the Baylor Medical School before moving to Massachusetts.
- Bio: Dr. Sparling is the Director of Clinical Services for the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services (DYS). As the Commonwealth's juvenile corrections agency, DYS serves approximately 9000 youths on a yearly basis. Dr. Sparling's primary focus has been to develop intergrated treatment systems to work with families of delinquent youth, establish the use of dialectical behavior therapy across a broad continuum of services, and implement gender specific services for young women who have been committed to the department. In 1986, Dr. Sparling began consulting to the Department of Youth Services through her employment at McLean Hospital and her faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School.
