MENTAL HEALTH SCIENCES LIBRARY
The mission of the library is to serve the clinical, educational, and research needs of the McLean Hospital.
The library staff provides a full range of services that include bibliographic searching of biomedical, social science, and other databases; training and support for programs in the Kelleher Memorial Computer Laboratory; bibliographic instruction; reference; interlibrary loan; and Web access and training.
Within the Library's collection are 10,000 books, 23,000 bound journal volumes, and 450 audio and video tapes on issues and trends in mental health, development of effective treatments, psychological and social issues associated with psychiatric illness, and neuroscience. The library receives 200 current journal titles and maintains a list of books by McLean staff and about McLean Hospital.
Library staff are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Hospital staff can access the library for hospital business at any time. Please ask the library staff for instructions.
