Education is a vital element to the mission of McLean Hospital and for nearly 200 years, it has been providing the finest professional education for a wide range of mental health and allied health professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, national certified counselors, nursing home administrators and educators. Our topnotch and fully accredited programming attracts a broad base of health providers for further training in a variety of specialties.
In 2012, the national Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) recognized McLean's Continuing Education program for excellence by awarding the "Accreditation with Commendation" designation. Current offerings include a variety of academic programs, including lectures, symposia, multiday conferences and a hub of online resources. Each program advocates and supports the continuing professional development of mental health professionals with a focus on improving patient care.

Grand Rounds
Every Thursday from 12:00-1:00 p.m. McLean Hospital, Pierce Hall
Throughout the academic year, September through June, McLean offers weekly lectures, given by world-renowned speakers, on a variety oftopics, such as psychopharmacology, psychosocial treatments and clinical case conferences. For a current list of speakers and topics, click here.

2013 Conferences
McLean also hosts several daylong and multi-day conferences with faculty from McLean and Harvard, as well as other esteemed national and international leaders in psychiatric care, research and academia. Recent topics at conferences have included advances in psychopharmacology, McLean Hospital psychosocial treatments, assessment of psychiatric diagnoses, geriatric psychiatry, medical disorders in psychiatric patients, borderline personality disorder, child and adolescent mental health and suicide.
