Today, many teens are at risk.McLean Hospital is proud to offer this exciting continuing education program, covering cutting edge, state-of-the-art research and clinical intervention data across a wide spectrum of adolescent risk and opportunity. We will cover biological/brain research, self-esteem interventions, mind-body interactions, the scourge of violence and depression, and new models for intervention, as well as new approaches for understanding normal sexuality, eating disorders, and the central developmental factors in psychological and psychiatric treatment of adolescent dysfunction. From safe schools to disease appropriate medication; from resiliency factors to brain development, practitioners will receive the most salient information necessary to successfully intervene with teens at risk and forestall risk to teens struggling with the normative dangers in our 21 st century culture. Accreditation
Physicians: McLean Hospital is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. McLean Hospital designates this educational activity for a maximum of 14 hours in category 1 credits towards the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. This program meets the criteria of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine for 3 hours of risk management study.
Psychologists: McLean Hospital is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for Psychologists. McLean Hospital maintains responsibility for the program. Attendees meeting the requirements will earn 14 C.E. credits.
