CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITIES
A charitable gift annuity is an arrangement under which you make a gift to McLean and receive, in turn, guaranteed payments for life. Charitable gift annuities may be funded with cash, securities or property and the minimum gift amount to create a charitable gift annuity is $10,000.
In addition to guaranteed payments, a charitable gift annuity provides other benefits, including:
- A portion of the payments is usually tax-free
- Charitable income tax deduction for a portion of the gift
- Reduced capital gains taxes
