McLean Hospital to be Featured at Partners Healthcare/Channel 7 Health and Fitness Expo

Belmont, MA - Partners HealthCare and Channel 7 are teaming up to present a Health and Fitness Expo on June 23 and 24 at the Hynes Convention Center in downtown Boston. The two-day event is free and open to the public.

During the Expo, McLean Hospital will host a large exhibit, at which attendees can obtain general information on McLean programs and services; take an abbreviated version of the McLean Motion and Attention Test (M-MAT™), designed to aid clinicians in evaluating individuals for attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder; learn about the important role that the hospital's "Brain Bank" plays in neurological and psychiatric research; and take a short, confidential memory screening test.
"We are very excited to be able to provide the public with information about psychiatric illness and the broad range of services and resources that McLean has to offer in such a fun and educational venue. We encourage everyone to attend," said Cynthia Lepore, director of Public Affairs for McLean.
In addition to an exhibit booth, McLean will also have eight guest lecturers speaking throughout the weekend.
Saturday, June 23
Scott Lukas, PhD, director of the Behavioral Psychopharmacology Laboratory at McLean, will present "Brain Imaging and Smoked Drugs of Abuse," at 10:30 am.

He will provide useful and practical suggestions for parents, teachers, mentors, clinicians and others dedicated to bringing up our young male generation..
Jeffrey Brown, PsyD, ABPP, a clinical staff associate at McLean, will present "Think Like a Champion: Three Must-Have Mental Strategies for Sport, Business and Life," at 2:30 pm.
