McLean Ranks High Amongst NIH-funded Research Hospitals
June 30th, 2004
For the fifth consecutive year, McLean's research program has ranked 15th out of 139 hospitals receiving National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding nationwide and was one of only 23 hospitals in the country that received more than $10 million in federal funds.
Because all of the top five research hospitals (and eight of the top fifteen) are in the greater Boston area, the achievement of being the largest research program based in a private psychiatric hospital setting is often overlooked, but it is important to remember McLean is truly unique in its ability to provide clinical care informed by the advances of a world class research program.
