			Nineteen research departments make up McLean's Mailman Research Center (MRC), which was dedicated in 1977 by Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter. With one and one-half acres of floor space, the MRC is dedicated entirely to research, and it houses scientists in a broad range of disciplines.
